Yehudah

Chapter

1

1:1 Yehudah, a slave of Yehoshua Messiah, and brother of Ya'akov, to the called people in Yehovah the Father, having been set apart, and having been hidden in Yehoshua Messiah:

1:2 May Yehovah give you much love and steadfast-love and shalom and mercies.

1:3 Beloved brothers, after I wanted to write to you about our set-apartness,1 I found it needful to rebuke you by writing that you should strengthen yourselves in the belief which was given to the set-apart ones

1:4 For certain men stole in, those of old having been written before to this condemnation, wicked ones perverting the grace of Yehovah into lasciviousness1, and they did not believe in Yehovah and in his Messiah.

1:5 But I want to make you known, that He who brought His people out of Mitsrayim, killed those who did not believe, two times.2.

1:6 And those messengers not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the great judgment day;

1:7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, committing temple prostitution, and going away after strange flesh, laid down an example before-times, undergoing vengeance of everlasting fire3.

1:8 Likewise, also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, and despise authority, and speak evil of glories4.

1:9 But Michael the archangel, when contending with The adverary, he argued about the body of Mosheh; he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, "Let Yehovah rebuke you!" (Zech. 3:2)

1:10 But these people curse while they know nothing, and also what they do know, they despise.

1:11 Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain5, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the speaking against of Korah!

1:12 These are those who lead a wasteful feasting life that is blemished, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds being carried about by winds, fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots;

1:13 wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames, wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept to the age.

1:14 And the seventh from Adam, Enoch6, also prophesied to these men, saying, Look, Yehovah comes with ten thousands of His set-apart ones,

1:15 to execute judgment on the wicked ones because of their evil deeds..

1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, going according to their lusts7, and their mouth speaks proud flattering words, lifting up faces for the sake of gain.

1:17 But you, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the sent ones of our Master Yehoshua Messiah,

1:18 because they told you that at the last time8 there will be mockers following wickedness, according to their lusts.

1:19 These are they setting themselves apart, animal-like ones, not having the ruach9.

1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up by your most set apart belief, praying in the set apart ruach,

1:21 and stand in the love of Yehovah, and wait for the mercies of our Master Yehoshua Messiah for everlasting life.

1:22 And also you yourselves must be merciful.

1:23 Indeed, some of you are with good deeds, but keep a distance from the sinners.

1:24 Now to Him being able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you before His glory without blemish, with unspeakable joy;

1:25 to the only wise Elohim, our Savior, be glory and majesty and might and authority, even now and forever. Amen.
